Bolick Pottery
Bolick Pottery was established in 1973. Glenn and Lula Owens Bolick worked for Lula's father, M.L. Owens at Original Owens Pottery from the time they married in 1962 until they moved to Glenn's hometown of Blowing Rock in 1973. There they purchased Glenn's grandfather's homeplace and started Bolick Pottery. They were both awarded the 2018 NC Heritage Award through the NC Arts Council. Together they produce mugs, bowls, honey pots, serving dishes, and baking dishes. Lula does traditional face jugs, and Glenn produces larger items. They carry seasonal wares like large flower pots, jack-o'-lanterns, and snowman lanterns.
Their shop is open daily and is located at 4884 Bolick Road in Lenoir, NC.
Bolick and Traditions Pottery at 1155 Main Street in Blowing Rock also carries a full line of Bolick Pottery. To contact Bolick Pottery, call 828-295-3862.
